Ready to Capture Demand For Natural and Organic Meats

MaineStock is ready to meet the capacity for growing demand from the Organic and “Buy Local” Movement.

Here in the state of Maine, as well as in other states across the country, there is a growing demand for local, sustainably raised meats. Consumers want to know where their meat is coming from and how the animals are raised and fed. Natural, grass fed and organic meats are in demand and in short supply.

More Maine farmers are turning to organic methods of farming and raising livestock but there are so few slaughter facilities within the state they can’t keep up with the increasing demands. The production volume at MaineStock will provide capacity, convenience and cost savings for Maine's growing segment of organic, natural and grass fed livestock farms. Farmers will be encouraged to increase the number of animals raised because they can now reach more customers both locally and nationally.
